1. Role You Play When You Interact With Us

We recognize that you may interact with Dopler in different roles, and the way your data is handled depends on that role:

Customers (You have a Dopler account)

As a customer, you are using Dopler to create and manage waitlists. We collect and process data to provide you with access to our platform and support your account.

Respondents (You’ve signed up for a waitlist)

As a respondent, you’ve submitted your email address to join a waitlist created by a Dopler customer. In this case, we are only a service provider rendering services to the person or company that set up the waitlist.

2. Respondents: Your Data and Responsibility

When you sign up for a waitlist, we process your data (such as your email address) on behalf of the business or individual that created the waitlist. This means we are not responsible for how the business or individual handles your data after collection. We encourage you to:
  • Read the terms and conditions and privacy policy of the company or person that sent you the waitlist.
  • Contact them directly if you have any questions about how they handle your personal information or if you want to exercise your data rights.

3. Customers: Data Collection and Use

If you have a Dopler account as a customer, we collect the following information:
  • Personal Information: Name, email address, and IP address.
  • Purpose of Use: We use this information to create and manage your account, provide you access to our Service, and communicate with you about updates, features, and promotions (which may include marketing).
We also store and process the email addresses you collect through your waitlists. This data is stored securely and is only used to enable the services you provide to your respondents.

4. Payment Information

We use Stripe as our third-party payment processor to handle payments for our Service. When you make a payment, the payment information (such as credit card details) is collected and processed directly by Stripe. We do not store or have access to your full payment information.Stripe adheres to the highest security standards and complies with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Their use of your personal information is governed by their own Privacy Policy, which you can review here.
  • Billing information: Such as your name, email address, and payment method details (e.g., credit card number).
  • Transaction details: Amount, date, and time of the transaction.
By using our Service and making a payment, you agree to Stripe’s collection and processing of your payment information.

5. Data Sharing and Security

We do not sell or share your data with third parties, except as necessary to provide the Service, including:
  • Vercel for hosting
  • Supabase for database management
These providers only have access to the data necessary to perform their services, and they are contractually obligated to protect the confidentiality and security of your information.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to provide our Service or as required by law. If you are a respondent and wish to unsubscribe from a waitlist or delete your data, please contact the business or individual who created the waitlist. If you are a customer and would like to delete your account or data, contact us at support@dopler.app.

7. International Data Transfers

We collect and process data from users around the world. We comply with data protection regulations, including GDPR and CCPA, where applicable. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights concerning your personal data, such as the right to access, correct, or delete your information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we handle your data.
